It’s official, the relaunch of the new NEXT make-up range is officially up and running! And believe me my lovelies, its going to leave you speechless…

I’ve been working at NEXT just over two years now and i seriously love it (yes sometimes it’s a pain in the arse but isn’t every job out there). To be honest, while working I’ve never just stopped and had a little look at the make-up there. I have always thought it’s was not very good quality and not very pigmented.

Oh boy I was totally WRONG about that.

Literally the morning shift I stumbled upon the make-up counter and my god I was just hypnotised by the luxurious, beautiful rose gold packaging (very Charlotte Tilbury, I must say). I literally swatched all of the eye shadows and I just fell in love with the quality (I’m pretty sure my manger thought that I’ve gone mad).

They’re very pigmented, very buttery and smooth leaving a soft silky feeling on my skin. Not to mention, the price range is very affordable. Plus it’s 3 for 2 which is amazing for gifts, especially with Christmas around the corner; plus I went crazy for them.

The first thing that caught my attentions was the eye shadow palettes, especially the rose gold quad. The pigmentation is just WOW!!! I am definitely lost for words on how stunning it is and makes it perfect if your wanting to do do an autumnal make-up look.

At the corner of my my eyes, I found the perfect shades of lipstick ever (Rich Velvet & In The Buff) and I just needed them. They’re literally beautiful, it has the perfect combination of smooth, velvety texture leaving a flawless matte effect.

Now can we all just appreciate the packing of these nail polishes because OMG they’re gorgeous!!! NEXT have always created the best nail polishes, but they have definitely up their game for these ones. And the best thing about them, they come in so many different colours ranging from bold, bright, nudes and even pastels.

Shades: Madrid, London & Top Coat

But really I’m keeping the best to last especially with these beauties…

I seriously can not wait to use these. And when the say luxury and they mean high quality goodness that is going make face look flawless. Once I using these brushes, I’ll keep you guys posted on how they’re are and if they’re worth it so keep an eye out for that my lovelies.

But seriously, I am so impressed by this new beauty relaunch and I’m so excited for more to come.

If there’s any more beauty brands or basically anything you want me to try just let me know my lovelies x

Let me introduce myself…

Hello there my lovelies,

Let me introduce myself…

Actually scrap that, I’ll be honest I really don’t know how to. I’m not really good when it comes to introducing myself, like what are you meant to say. Do i say what my passions are, my future goals, my dream job or my achievements because to me I have no idea what they are yet.

So I’m going to start with the basics. Hi I’m Hally, a twenty-one year old northern girl from middlesbrough, who loves fashion, make up, photography, travelling, DIY, cooking…

The list can go on.

Everyone always ask why did you want to start blogging?

And I have never ever had the answer for it. Maybe it’s because I’m chatty and I talk a lot of bullshit or that I just love talking about myself (call me big headed, but we all do it).

But the real reason is that when I was younger, I always loved the idea of coming home and writing down my thoughts and feelings. Like those kids in films, where they would always for some reason have a diary or journal, that they will complete a few pages of then hide it underneath their pillow. I always wanted to be that kind of person to share my thought and feelings. So that’s is what I’m going to do, not by hiding a journal under my pillow (because trust me there’s always someone who is going to find it) but by blogging and have a little place to call mine…

Now I’m stuck for words and have no idea what else to say but to invite you all to this long and hopefully fun blogging journey.

All my love

Quick Summer Make-Up Look

As its summer and the days are getting warmer, well some days; I prefer to wear lighter make-up. The main reason behind this is because wearing a full face of make-up on warm days always leaves me feeling suffocated and sweaty; which lead to my make-up sweating off during the day and it’s not a pretty sight. In this post I’m going to show you guys my quick, summer make-up look that I basically so every day now.

To start of my look, I used my trusty Estee Lauder Matte Perfecting Primer just to give my foundation a smooth base before applying it. When applying my foundation I used my all-time favourite Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation in the shade ‘Rattan’ to give my face a light matte coverage. However to hide away all the dark pigmentation of my face, I applied a little bit of Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover foundation in the shade ‘Medium Deep’ as a concealer and just applied it under my eyes and on a few marks around my chin to make my skin tone more even. After applying my foundation to keep an even courage, I lightly added the No7 Mineral Perfection Powder Foundation in the shade ‘New Ivory’ which actually keeps my face much cooler during the day.

Of course for my brows, I used the Benefit Brow Zings eyebrow kit just because it is way quicker for me to shape and fill in my brows compared to using a brow pencil. Onto the eyes, to keep my eyeshadow to stay on all day I used the Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion in the shade ‘Eden’ which is just AMAZING! When it came to eyeshadow, I wanted to go for a peachy tone but couldn’t find the right shade. But when I came across the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette, I found the prettiest, peachy blush shade ‘OC’, which I just had to try. I applied the shade in the outer crease of my eye (yes I did use blushes on my eyes, they come out amazing sometimes) and then added the shade ‘Steady’ from the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette onto my eye lid and lower lash line. Also from that palette to highlight my brow bone I used the shade ‘blonde’ to make sure my eyeshadow colour sparkle.

To keep onto the peachy tone I lightly put on the blush shade ‘OC’ onto my cheekbone to give myself a more natural look. As well as applying the highlighter ‘Angel’ from the blush palette to give my face the right amount of glow to stand out. (A little review) In my opinion the blush palette is perfectly designed for pale skin, but it does just as good for darker skin tones as well especially the shade ‘Hush’ as you can tell I use that shade most of the time compared to the others. Nonetheless the eyeshadow palette is PERFECT! The pigmentation is literally unbelievable and the colour combinations create looks that you couldn’t create with any other palette. To make sure my eyes stand out, I used my all-time favourite Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara to give my lashes more volume.

To complete my look, I applied Make-Up Revolution Lip Crayon in the orangey shade which came in a gift set with two other lip crayons, a sparkly lip-gloss and a compact mirror which is always handy to throw in your bag. The lip crayons are easy to apply but don’t last for long, however they’re super pigmented. But to top it all off, I applied some lip gloss on in the shade ‘Peach Sparkle’ by Front Cover to add a little plump and shine to my look.

Hope you guys enjoyed todays post but I would like to know what make-up product should I try this summer? I really fancy going make-up shopping but don’t know what new things I should try. Also OMG, Treat You Better and Ruin by Shawn Mendes are literally amazing (just had to share with you guys haha).

3 Best Summer Lipstick Shades

I can finally say its SUMMERRR, YEY! I must say I’m so excited summer is finally here, I can throw away my winter coat and boats and say hello to the summer dresses and sandals. But the main reason why I love summer is that I can start wearing brighter lipsticks. For me, wearing brighter lipstick always makes me feel more confident and better about myself; even when it’s a rainy day.

Having medium, dark skin it’s very hard for me to pull of shimmery pink lipsticks however I must say the Estee Lauder Pure Colour Long Lasting Lipstick in the shade ‘Candy Shimmer’ is absolutely amazing. It’s such a lovely colour and texture, and the lipstick stays on for a quite a long time. However the lipstick itself is rather soft in which the lipstick has snapped at the base but is still useable.

However nothing gets better than a bold, red statement lipstick shade to brighten up your day. No7 Stay Perfect Lipstick in the shade ‘Love Red’ is just beautiful. I use this lipstick all the time when going out, it looks gorgeous on and lasts all day! A little tip, just remember to put lip balm on before applying it; so it keeps your lips moisturised all day which makes the lipstick look even better!

The best thing happened to me the other day where I found the prettiest pink shade in my lipstick collection that I never used before until now. KIKO Smart Lipstick in the shade ‘912 Crimson Red’ is the brightest, prettiest, bold pink lipstick I have ever used that has actually suited me! Yes it may say ‘red’ in the shade name but its pink which surprised me the most. The pigment and stain within the lipstick is just incredible, you only really need one layer, but if you touch it up during the day, the brightness of the colour goes even bolder which is just lovely.

So those are my best three lipstick shade I use over summer all the time, comment below your favourite lipstick shade and which ones should I try?

Every day Make-Up Look

So in today’s post, I’m going to share with you all the products I use on my face every single day in my entire life and will always continue buying once I run out of them. I like to call this the “OMG I’m late” look, as that is what I say every time I get every morning.

Of course when doing my make-up I always start with a face cream (like most of you do) just to keep my skin hydrated as I have really dry skin. Every morning and night I will use the Nivea soft refreshingly moisturising cream as it leaves my skin feeling super refreshed all day. Plus it’s so much cheaper than the other creams! After applying the face cream, I use Estee Lauder Matte Perfecting Primer just because it gives good base for foundation. This primer is known to be good for people with oily skin even though my skin is very dry; it stills does a really good job to keep my skin smooth.

When it comes to foundation, I use two which are the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation in the shade ‘Rattan’ and the Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover foundation in the shade ‘Medium Deep’. Both of these foundations are absolutely amazing, they both have great coverage, leaves matt finish and all day comfy wear; especially as I have uneven tones and marks on my skins where spots have previously been. However with the maximum cover foundation, it can sometimes feel too heavy on my skin when having bad skin days, I’m not too sure if that happens to everyone or only me. To give my face a natural finish, I use the No7 Mineral Perfection Powder Foundation in the shade ‘New Ivory’ just for an even coverage.

For my brows, I use Benefit Brow Zings eyebrow kit which so easy to use. In my opinion it’s so much better than using a brow pencil as it shapes and colours your brows to perfection! To make my eye shadow stand out, Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion is just a MUST HAVE!!! I use the shade ‘Eden’ and it leaves my eye shadow stay on perfectly all day with no creases or anything. At the moment, my go to eyeshadows is from the ‘Flawless’ palette from Make-Up Revolution. I’ve owned this palette for a while now and I have mixed feelings about it. It’s such a beautiful palette, the shimmery shades are beyond amazing and super pigmented but I feel like the mattes shades are not that good. The main shades I use are the gold and burgundy tones just to make my eyes pop out more. My all-time favourite mascara that I use every day is the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. I have no words apart from that it’s amazing.

To make myself look more awake I use blushes and highlighters from the Hot Spice palette from the Make-Up Revolution Ultra Blush collection. And OMG the colours are insane, the palette includes both mattes and very slightly shimmery peachy shades which complements well to my dark skin tone so much which is totally surprising. To finish my every day look, I use Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick in the shade ‘Bond Girl’.  This has got to be the most gorgeous shade I have ever used in my entire life.

So that’s all the things I use for my everyday look, I will leave a link below with all the products that I have mentioned. I would like to know what product you guys use every day and what products I should try?

Pretty Pink Peppermint

Here is a little quick review of one my favourite foot lotions from Lush which is Pink Peppermint. This calming, refreshing zingy peppermint lotion gives you a silky soft cool foot which has helped nourish my cracked heels back to health after a long time going through too many lotions and creams to count for my dry feet. It takes a few minutes to sink in, so it’s best to apply the lotion at night right before putting socks on. I highly recommend this product to anyone who may have dry, cracked feet to anyone as it repairs your feet right away.

What’s your favourite foot lotion?

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair – Review

This is one of the most expensive product I has ever used even though I stole it from my mum’s make up bag; and can I just say it’s amazing. Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair (Synchronized Recovery Complex II) is one of the best anti-ageing serums out there these days. This product packaging it says “Reveal a smoother, more radiant, younger look” which I totally agree with as it makes my skin feel soft and supple. When I first tried this product and was blown away by how much I loved it (I mean I’d only used it a few times) but the way that it glides onto your skin leaving a silky feeling is flawless. Also I mainly use this serum with my usual night cream and was pleasantly surprised with how much of a difference it had made with my face over just one night. I highly recommend this product to anyone even though it’s aimed at women over the age 25 I still believe its magic in a bottle even for a 19 year old like me.

Is there any one Night Repair Serums I don’t know about but should try?

The Olde Young Tea House

Just before I started University, my friends took me to a little tea house in my local town called The Olde Young Tea House which has beautiful ambience the 50’s sort of look. This is a real vintage bijou cafe so rare in Middlesbrough centre, there’s nothing like this anywhere else. There is an amazing range of loose leaf teas, and the cakes and scones what taste amazing, and the best thing about it is that it’s served on old mismatched china given it the homely 50s feel.

The tea room is rather small but charming and kitted out with countless vintage knick knacks. Even One wall is taken up by a shelving unit covering various loose teas in jars, also there are five tables out the front but there are more through the back if it gets full. At the tills they display what the ‘Tea of the Day’ is on a blackboard which I always want to try but I know may not like it and waste it.

I absolutely love the concept of the shop which is very fitting of the vintage tea era with decorative wallpaper and old framed prints adding to the atmosphere. The tea room is one of my favourite places to go with my friends, even on my own for a bit of peace of quiet. So if you’re ever in the area make sure you visit The Olde Young Tea House, because you will never be disappointed ever.

What if your favourite flavour of tea? Mines Strawberry and Kiwi.

I’m Addicted to Lush Lip Scrubs oops

Believe it or not I have now become one of those people who walk into Lush with a massive grin on my face knowing that I’m getting a little treat for myself for no reason at all. I usually run over towards the bath bombs and smell them all within seconds of entering but this time something got my attention. Yeah you guessed right, it was the Lip Scrubs.

I have always loved the Bubble gum flavour lip scrub which I continually re-purchase. The bubble gum one is just a sweet candy taste that you’ll be tempted to lick off. But what really caught my eye was the Mint Julips flavour which has a hint of mint-choc chip and humbug about it. It’s classed as a ‘scrumptious cocktail served in hot southern summers’ which I totally agree with.

Also it’s become that time of year where the temperature suddenly drops, wind turn out to be bitingly cold and certain people skin instantly becomes dry and flaky like mine. Lush lip scrubs contain caster sugar and jojoba oil to scrub away dead skin and infuse moisture to refresh your smile. For me the tiniest amount is enough to exfoliate my lips completely so I just dab my finger into the pot lightly, and rub it into my lips. While you rub it in, the sugar either falls off or absorbs slightly into the oil which then follow up with a thick layer of lip balm. It has given me unbelievably soft lips and I totally recommend you all to get one if you have dry lips like me.

What are your thoughts about Lush Lip Scrubs? And what’s your favourite one?

First Ever Charlotte Tilbuy Lipstick

On my trip to Trafford Centre in Manchester, the first shop my sister and I really want to visit first was Selfridge’s & Co. In which we did, I had never used or owned any Charlotte Tilbury products in my entire life and I’ve heard how amazing her lipsticks are so I just had to buy one instantly. The one I went for was the matte revolution lipstick in the shade Bond Girl which is such gorgeous shade I have ever used. Best thing about this lipstick, it can be worn with a nude look or a bolder look; defiantly perfect for these winter days. The lipstick is full of pigment so you can build up the colour or apply it like a stain which is my preferred method.

What is your favourite Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick? And what other colours should I try?
